Who Loves Boys? We Do!

You ever wonder why 9 out of 10 on-line advertisements are for female models? Or why so many on-line advertisements scream BOOTY!!!! Routinely using terms like “Eye-Candy”, “Sexy”, “Curvy” etc…

It’s because both amateurs and professional photographers continue to promote “Booty-Glam” and King magazine type photography basically only shooting models that they are sexually attracted to. It is absolutely no secret that gay photographers tend to shoot male models so well; they love their subject! Snap! Cat’s outta’ the closet!

It’s true! Back while interning, Nelson Jones learned a tried and true rule of thumb; “You should never be able to tell the gender of a photographer by looking at the image.” Now apply that rule to everything you see on Model Mayhem, or on-line in general and you’ll more clearly understand the statement.

We at TOPOP love hunky handsome fine boys; obviously they must be model material because you cannot build an effective agency with girls alone. That’s Whatz TOP-POPPIN’! What do you think?

Spring And Summer Group Shoots

Hot Boys & Girls having fun in the Summer Sun

TOPOP has a long tradition of strongly suggesting our models work together on each other’s program ‘Test-shoots’, in groups and on themed shoots. Our reasoning is two fold, the models get the needed experience of working closely with each other and our potential clients get to view our models in campaign styled images.

One of the most popular past themes has been our non-commissioned Hollister Campaign styled shoot where models have come from around the country to participate in!

The fashion industry (Editorial) shoots’ in what’s referred to as “Off-Season” meaning bikini work is shot in tropical locations in the wintertime, likewise fall/winter fashions’ being shot in Spring-Summer all in preparation of the coming fashion season. It is critical for editorial print to stay 2 seasons ahead and these magazines usually have a budget that allots for travel expenses for a team.

In the modeling industry (Production) usually bikini work is done “In-Season” as summer weather usually permits excellent ambient light. Models are more carefree, prone to wearing bikinis while visiting the beach, pool etc… Underage models & their parents are more available as well.

Several clients have hired TOPOP models directly from appearing in-group themed shoots. The Sun Glow- Sun Tan Company based from Chicago hired 7 TOPOP models for a promotion based at an Atlanta Hair Show back in 2005. African Crescent Moon Apparel Company based from N.Y.C. hired 4 TOPOP Models for a print advertisement shoot both in 2000 and again hired 3 teenaged females in 2008 with the images appearing locally in Atlanta (Underground) also throughout the urban communities and nationally. TOPOP models are selected to work with others that we feel physically compliment each other always in a water backdrop, example P.C.B. Lake Lanier, at a private residences’ Jacuzzi, or condo’s pool environment.

TOPOP models are never formally charged anything after participating in the TOPOP Program; in 2007 we started charging a total of $20.00 for the complete CD including ‘clean photo-shopped’ images.

Back in 1997 while managing a photography studio called Photo Max on Buford Hwy. in Atlanta, Ga. Nelson Jones created, ‘The Girl of the Month’ a regular feature for a new publication back then called Mundo Hispánico.

Speaking Spanish has always been a true benefit for our director although with limited time to continuously be in the community as he once was, we continue to aggressively recruit Hispanic’s, as they are the fastest growing minority in Atlanta and within America.

Watching the exploding Hispanic community he thought back then to create powerful and positive relationships with Hispanic businesspersons and businesses. Today TOPOP has several strong allies in the Hispanic community including the Hispanic Marketing Group, 105.3 La Raza radio stations, Plaza Fiesta and Dos Rosas Marketing among others.

Below is an image of our newest Latin model, her name is Monserrat, and she is a 16-year-old knockout, 5’3. 110. 32b-20-36. With excellent grades, personality and attitude that is serious about her modeling career.
